A Goodbye and a Thanks!
Hello BUMC family!
A bittersweet announcement: On September 14, Captain Shreve High School offered me a social studies position and I accepted! As many of you already know, early this year I began the
certification process to begin teaching high school social studies. While it is earlier than what I expected or planned for, the opportunity is one that I could not pass up. I will begin at
Shreve on October 2.
The last 4 years at BUMC have been an incredible, life-changing experience. I have learned so much from working with the students and their families, and I am eternally grateful. They are the most fantastic group of students I have ever met. It has been a blessing to be in community with them!
Our Youth Ministry will remain in great hands. I have full confidence in our search team to find the right person to fill the role ofYouth Ministry Director. In the meantime, our team of dedicated Youth Ministry volunteers will continue to love our students and keep all of our programs moving forward.
I am very excited to begin this new journey in the field of education and look forward to the new challenge and experiences. BUMC is still my church home and I am looking forward to seeing our ministries continue to grow. Thank you to all who have supported me along the way!
