Sunday, November 6th is our annual Turkey Bowl during our Sunday night youth activities. For those of you who may not be familiar with the Turkey Bowl, it is a beloved event where youth are separated into teams, given routes to follow to collect food from church members, and have a photo scavenger hunt along the way. 

We are currently looking for participants to be “stops” along our collection route! All you need to be eligible is 1) have an address we can visit/pick up donations from, 2) Be willing to take a picture with the youth volunteers, and 3) have some donations for them to pick up. 

This year, we are partnering with the Noel Food pantry! Here are a list of supplies they are asking for: Canned Chicken, Cans of Green Beans, Flour, Cornbread mix, Stuffing mix, Mac & cheese, Cans of yams/sweet potatoes, Granola bars, Vienna sausage, Peanut butter crackers, Mushroom Soup, Monetary Donations

Are you not able to be a stop, or don’t want youth at your house? Not a problem! We will have collection tubs outside both the Sanctuary and River Services. Drop them off and we’ll pick them up! Thank you for all the ways you are already supporting our youth! I do what I do because I have faith in the future of the United Methodist Church and I want to do my part to instill strong leadership and values in our kids.
