As we enter the 40 days of Lent, may it be 40 days of love! I want to express my love for this wonderful group of people. I am grateful to God for you. What a thrill it is to be part of such a loving congregation.
It is exciting to witness the awesome commitment of our people: so faithful, so capable, so willing to selflessly serve Christ through His church, so bright.
I love you for the way you support the church with your prayers, your presence, your gifts, your service, and your witness.
I love you for the way you reflect the light of Christ in others’ lives daily.
What a joy it is to work with such a talented, committed, and gracious staff and share in their accomplishments and victories.
You take care of one another and you reach out to people in need.
I can’t wait for Sunday morning to come so I can step into the pulpit see your encouraging, expectant faces.
I love you for the way you love God.
This could run on quite a ways, but let me end with a quote from Paul’s love letter to the Corinthians: “I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that has been given you in Christ Jesus.”
