CSM Denver: Smaller Ego, Bigger World

By Brandon Winningham, Director of Youth Ministries

This Sunday, June 26, the Youth Ministry will take 20 high school students and 4 adults to Denver for a week of service with the Center for Student Missions. This is our third year in a row to serve with CSM and I can honestly say that this is a life-changing experience for both our students and our adults. CSM is an organization that is present in 11 of America’s largest cities and their mission is to provide an effective urban ministry experience that transforms lives, influences churches and communities, and honors Christ. We will be working with several different ministries in Denver that help solve the problems of poverty, homelessness, and discrimination. Our egos will be made smaller and our worlds bigger as we work with children, teens, and adults from a completely different walk of life. From the work that we do to the food that we eat, this will be an immersive experience outside of our comfort zones. It is in these spaces that we find Christ. Please be in prayer for our adults and students that we may be transformed through the work that God has called us to do and thank you so much for helping us fund our trip!
