CHURCH CONFERENCE

AUGUST 9, 2020

There will be a Church Conference immediately after the 11 AM worship services on Aug 9th. All full members of the church are eligible to attend and vote. (Must be present to vote)

There will be a vote taken on continuance/discontinuance of the current form of church governance, the Governance Board.

Monthly meeting (every the 3rd Sunday) of the BUMC Governance Board.

UMW Spring General Meeting & Dinner

• Tuesday April 7th at 5:30 PM in Pearce Hall

• Cost will be $10 per person

• Dinner - chicken spaghetti, roll, salad, dessert

• Speaker - Ms. Alex Person - Forensic Interviewer & Director of Education at the Gingerbread House, a facility whose mission is to help lessen the trauma experienced by child abuse victims.

All women are invited!

We will be collecting the following items for the Gingerbread House: individually wrapped snacks, “Little Debbie” type snacks, juice boxes and water bottles. The children enjoy these treats after their counseling appointments.

FAMILY FUNDAY BINGO!

Are you looking for a fun opportunity to spend time with your church family AND have the chance to win some amazing prizes?  Join us Sunday, January 26th for an evening of fun, fellowship and Bingo! Dinner begins at 5 PM in Anderson Gym and bingo will start shortly after that. This FREE event includes dinner and one bingo card. Additional bingo cards will be available for purchase.

January 12th | Destination nights for UMY - meet at the church for snack supper, then we will travel to these locations:

We hope your youth will join us as we tour the City of Shreveport, praying for the individual communities, neighborhoods, and their needs. We will look at statistics & demographic breakdowns within the community.

We’d love your help after church as we help missions get donations for the Curiosity Shoppes ready to be sorted / sold!

CURIOSITY SHOPPES HELP

1. MORNING - help move donations placed at both Welcome Centers

2. AFTER CHURCH - help bring donations up from the basement

3. 5 PM - help SORT/MOVE donations

Get into the Fall spirit with us as we carve pumpkins, drink apple cider, and other fall-themed activities!

YOUTH SUNDAY IN THE RIVER

The youth are taking over the River the last Sunday in September! We will have youth as ushers, greeters, praying, in the band, and in the sound booth! We hope you'll join us for worship.
